Andrew J. Parker
Andrew previously worked for BT Group plc where he was Group Company Secretary, and previously held two General Counsel roles. He now supports the work on Board effectiveness.
Andrew leads our Governance Services practice in both the corporate and trustee board effectiveness areas. Since joining in 2013 Andrew has conducted board evaluations for a number of FTSE 250 companies as well being involved in a variety of pension trustee board effectiveness projects.
Andrew previously worked for BT Group plc where he was Group Company Secretary, and before that had a variety of legal, regulatory and governance roles, including as General Counsel of BT Retail and before that General Counsel of BT Openworld. Prior to joining BT Andrew worked in legal private practice in the City for CMS Cameron McKenna.
At BT Andrew was responsible for expanding the role of a number of the Board committees to reflect the changing governance environment. He also created a consolidated compliance function to cover all aspects of BT’s legal and regulatory compliance. Andrew established the Regional Governance Committee structure to review and manage BT’s governance and compliance risks in the 170 countries in which it operated.
