Rodney has 25 years’ experience as a consulting actuary.

Prior joining Law Debenture he was a director and actuary at Gissings, a City based firm of employee benefits consultants.  His experience there included the role of scheme actuary to a wide range of pension schemes from the very large to the quite small.  In addition, he headed the actuarial practice and the investment department and also took responsibility for trustee training.  He represented the firm on the management committee of its international affiliation, ASINTA and on the council of the Society of Pension Consultants.  Prior to joining Gissings, Rodney was a partner at Bacon & Woodrow (now part of Aon Hewitt).

Outside the office, Rodney has served on a wide range of professional and other committees and is a past chairman of the PLSA City and Eastern Group.  He was elected member of the Committee of the PMI Independent Pension Trustee Group, now renamed The Association of Professional Pension Trustees, of which he was until recently, a Council Member and Chair.
