DB Investment Governance and Fiduciary Management conference
28 October 2014
...at a conference, held in central London, September 2014, about DB Investment Governance and Fiduciary Management.
The conference was designed specifically for pension trustees and investment committee members as well as Finance Directors and Chief Financial Officers. It recognised that pension trustees are increasingly required to handle complex investment decisions and that many pension funds are exploring the potential strategic merits of outsourcing elements of investment governance, asset allocation and implementation.
The conference addressed models for pension fund investment governance; comparison of available fiduciary solutions and benchmarking; due diligence in assessing and appointing fiduciary managers; and provided technical guidance on setting and structuring fiduciary mandates.
In light of his experience, John was asked to participate as a panel member in the session that addressed the assessment and selection of fiduciary providers.
Commenting about his participation John said:
In light of the growing interest in the question of investment governance and fiduciary management, I was pleased to be able to participate in the conference and share my experience and that of LawDeb Pension Trustees more generally with an audience interested in this topical matter.
