Audit and Assurance Faculty Report
01 July 2014
LawDeb Pension Trustees completes its Audit and Assurance Faculty Report to demonstrate its control objectives and procedures.
LawDeb Pension Trustees has completed an initial Audit and Assurance Faculty (AAF) report which demonstrates that we operate sound administrative and control procedures.
LawDeb Pension Trustees appointed Crowe Clark Whitehill to evaluate its processes. These were carried out using, as reference, the control objectives set out by the ICAEW in the relevant trustee supplement to ICAEW AFF 02/07 and to provide an independent assurance report.
The report deals with the processes underlying decision making in relation to our own business and to those pension schemes of which we are the sole trustee.
This initial point-in-time report will be followed up in 2015 with a further report confirming that the procedures remain in accordance with the standards and also that these procedures have been operated effectively over the year.
Speaking at the time of the submission of its initial report, Mark Ashworth Chairman of LawDeb Pension Trustees, said:
We believe the accreditation of our business to the AAF requirements confirm the effectiveness of the control and procedures that underpin our operation. The report will provide reassurance to our clients about the quality of the service we provide.
