The LawDeb Lens

2023 Theme

This year’s theme comes courtesy of The LawDeb Book Club – one of LawDeb’s employee-led Community Groups which sees members from across our offices and business lines come together each month to get to know each other and discuss books from any and all genres.

In the words of Honoré de Balzac “Reading brings us unknown friends.” And the LawDeb Book Club has proven this to be true. The Book Club therefore wanted to extend this opportunity to you with this year’s Lens theme of Books.

What to enter

There are no categories, simply enter your photos which represent a book. This could be a representation of the title, the content or a more abstract take. Inspiration is below where the images are entries to Lens from previous years. We have changed the titles to fit this year’s theme and hope they will get your creative juices flowing.

Whilst there are no categories for the main competition this year, we do have a bonus competition ‘The Selfie Anthology’. Here we want to see a selfie of you and your book in a relevant, unusual or unexpected scenario. Again, we have shared some examples below.

Keep an eye on our Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts to see examples of entries from this year as they come in.

How to enter

  • Entries are now open and will close at midnight on Friday October 27th.
  • Email entries to lens@lawdeb.com
  • View our terms and conditions here

How do we choose the winners?

We will announce our judging panel later this year. This will be made up of LawDeb employees and will select a shortlist. The shortlisted photos will be displayed at our drinks event in January 2024 where guests on the night will vote for the ultimate winners.

Any questions? Email lens@laweb.com

Last year's LawDeb Lens was another huge success with over 160 guests joining us over two nights in January 2023 to celebrate the incredible photographs entered into the competition. View more details of the event.
