An afternoon with LawDeb on endgame solutions

At LawDeb, we are always focused on adding value for our clients and supporting best-practice across the pensions industry. So we were thrilled to host clients and those with responsibility for their company pension scheme for 'An afternoon with LawDeb on endgame solutions' yesterday. Hosted by Lynne Rawcliffe, Head of LawDeb's Endgame Solutions Working Group, we welcomed a number of guest speakers who joined us to share their experience and expertise. A huge thanks to Steve Jones, Pensions Manager at Airbus, Darko Popovic, SVP at Guy Carpenter, Clara-Pensions CEO Simon True and Business Development Manager Demi Ho and LawDeb Professional Trustees & Governance specialists, Andy Harrison, Robert Thomas, Keith Scott, Mark Williamson, Jane Beverley and Sankar Mahalingham.

There was a lot covered during the session to ensure each solution was looked at in detail. Interestingly the scheme objectives of those attending were split equally between run-on, buy-in and “not yet decided”.

We will be sharing more details from each session over the coming weeks. For now, we share three key takeaways:

- It is not the case that one size fits all – it’s a complex landscape
- Collaboration is vital, all advisers and stakeholders need to work cohesively
- Members must come first and effective member communication is essential
