What is an arbitration agent

An arbitration agent acts similarly to a process agent, receiving documents in connection with arbitration proceedings where an independent party is needed where the appointing party is not located in the jurisdiction of the governing law of the relevant contract.

When do you need an arbitration agent

An arbitration agent is needed when executing an international transaction, where an arbitration clause is included in the contract and one or more of the parties does not have a physical presence in the country  of the governing law of the contract.

Can Law Debenture act as both process agent and arbitration agent

Yes. Law Debenture is regularly appointed as both process agent and arbitration agent for the same transactions. Separate appointments for each role are required to be enable us to accept and forward documents issued in respect of court and arbitration proceedings

What is the difference between a process agent and arbitration agent
