Professional Trustee

I am a professional Trustee with a background in investment consulting, fiduciary management and private markets.

I currently sit on the boards of 4 pension schemes which includes a mix of co-Trustee and corporate sole trustee appointments, across both DB and DC.  My appointments include the Aviva  Mastertrust where I am a member of the Investment Committee.  I am also appointed to the board of the TPT Superfund, where I chair the committee responsible for investment oversight and regulatory reporting.  My two other appointments are on a Corporate Sole Trustee basis, one of which is a hybrid scheme currently moving to buy-in and the other is a DB scheme of a multinational corporation.   In addition to my Trustee appointments, I also represent Law Debenture as the “Independent Body” to a large pension scheme in the Utilities sector, which is running on.

In all my appointments, I strive to encourage inclusive and collaborative debate with other stakeholders, always with a view to how we can improve member outcomes.  I seek to support my boards with a depth of investment expertise, particularly in relation to private market asset classes, as well as with a hands-on approach to pensions governance.  I have supported pension schemes through projects including transition to mastertrust, plan wind-up, dashboards connection, transition to a new fiduciary manager and TPR authorisation.

Prior to joining Law Debenture, I spent the majority of my career with Mercer, with roles in investment consulting, fiduciary management and alternative investments.  Most recently I led Mercer's Alternatives Investment Business in Canada.  I also have experience working in asset management supervision within the FCA.  I have achieved the Chartered Financial Analyst Accreditation from the CFA Institute and the Investment Management Certificate from the Institute of Investment Management and Research.

Outside of work, I have a passion for long distance triathlon so much of my spare time is spent cycling or running round the rolling Leicestershire countryside!
