Lok joined LawDeb after 24 years at Willis Towers Watson, where he has worked extensively on both the asset side (as an investment consultant providing advice in journey planning, de-risking, LDI and CDI strategies, and overseeing fiduciary mandates) and the liability side (as an actuary providing advice on funding valuations, contribution arrangements, special purpose vehicles and member option terms) of the DB pension equation.

With his wide-ranging experience, Lok has worked on many multi-discipline projects, such as settlement transactions (working with schemes, insurers and a range of consultants on buy-ins and longevity swaps), end-game planning (helping schemes to decide between running off, insurance or consolidation) and integrated risk management (including as a member on the IRM Working Party for the Institute of Actuaries). He has also chaired various executive groups at WTW in the areas of cross-practice consulting, cashflow matching and solution design.

Since joining LawDeb in August 2023, Lok has already started acting in a Trustee capacity and is looking to build up his portfolio of clients.

Lok holds a First Class MA Degree in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, and is a fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.
