Jayne Pocock

Pensions Executive

Jayne is one of the most experienced members of LawDeb’s Pensions Executive Team.  She has over 30 years’ experience in the pensions industry working with DB, DC and hybrid schemes, performing roles in third-party administration, consultancy and in-house environments.

Jayne joined LawDeb in 2018 as a Pensions Executive in our Pension Executive Team. Her current appointments include scheme secretarial duties to a £100 million+ open DC scheme with 13,000+ members and a closed Hybrid scheme. Jayne oversees and delivers governance project appointments, such as undertaking provider reviews, trustee effectiveness assessments and VfM assessments.

Immediately prior to joining LawDeb she was the Head of JLT’s Pensions Governance Practice, overseeing a small team of governance consultants delivering scheme secretarial support, trustee effectiveness assessments, risk reviews, DC Value for Money assessments, scheme wind-ups, buy-in/buy-out projects – to name a few. Jayne started her career in South Africa in 1988, moving to the UK in 2000. She joined JLT in 2012, following JLT’s acquisition of Alexander Forbes. Prior to this she was a manager within Mercer’s Trustee and Governance Team.

She started her career in pensions administration during which time she was responsible for large teams of employees, separately in both South Africa and the UK.  Jayne moved into a consulting role in 2005 and since then has been a Client Relationship Manager and Governance Consultant for DB,DC and hybrid schemes, in addition to providing scheme secretarial support.  Her strengths include project management and helping trustee boards adopt structures and business plans to successfully deliver the trustees’ objectives.

Jayne is an Associate Member of the Pensions Management Institute (PMI) and a member of PASA’s DC Governance Working Party. She is also a tutor for PMI’s online learning programme.
